Would you fire this guy...

...or would you promote him to Master of the school district? Obviously it's a bit inappropriate, but I personally believe that political correctness has gotten too far out of control, even though that may not apply in this scenario.

I think it's all a bit funny. The first link is to the actual article, the second is a link to a page where you can find the PDF. Just click on the PDF thumbnail to open it large enough to read it.

While I don't really care about the content, the whole thing just reeks of immaturity. Is this coach 9 years old? He sure acted like it.

"For I am a sinner in the hands of an angry God. Bloody Mary full of vodka, blessed are you among cocktails. Pray for me now and at the hour of my death, which I hope is soon. Amen."

I think it's awesome, he should have known to work on the wording a bit, though.

This is definitely behavior that would make me extremely concerned in a guidance counselor but something I would applaud in a football coach... this world is cray cray

That is what strikes me as odd. I suppose the punishment to not allow him to coach football any longer is a result of the 'survey' being given to the football players. I am glad they are giving the guy a second chance, but it's a bit of an odd compromise...but whatev.

We'll see what happens if the football program starts to struggle.

I mean I assume he was a guidance counselor and a football coach. The coaches for my high school all taught classes or were guidance counselors. This was funny as hell tho IMHO.

It always seems to be the coaches for the sports teams:

The guy posted initially, although funny, ought to have shown better judgement, but this guy crossed a line, to me.

Looks like that kid could use one of the aforementioned surveys. And what does the student mean by racial harassment? Is the student implying that only black people are on welfare...thus the coaches welfare comment was linked to his race and not his poor attitude, bad behavior or sub-par grades?

I think he meant both to be honest. Welfare because he is black but then covers it up in the video by saying only those with bad grades will end up there. He didnt seem to bothered by the coach if it went on for years, his father was much angrier.

It does seem to be a recurring theme with football/basketball/hockey coaches. I think they're mistaken, assuming this to be some sort of a motivational technique. I wonder how many more instances will come out now, especially with the Penn State debacle.
