Client 9: Spitzer Goes Down

File this one under "Couldn't happen to a nicer guy". Client 9: The Rise and Fall of Eliot Spitzer hits theaters November 5th, but you can catch it right now on Magnolia On Demand and iTunes. It appears there might be more to the whole mess than just another politician getting his joint worked on. The trailer seems to insinuate a set-up by some of Wall Street's most powerful at the time. I'll let you be the judge:

If there's a lesson to be learned from all this, it's that pride goeth before a fall and it's never a good idea to be a sanctimonious assbag when you've got ho****s on your speed dial. I have to give the guy credit, though. He didn't try to pass if off as anyone else's fault. At least he owned it.

Still doesn't mean everyone on Wall Street shouldn't enjoy a good laugh at his expense.

Who's going to see the movie?

Off topic but uncle eddie I'm surprised you didnt post the 20 minute segment on CNBC yesterday with Kyle Bass. He had some pretty good macro insights.

  1. Trailer actually made me want to see it...although I won't pay for it.
  2. Does anyone else think it would be fucking cool if some of WS most powerful men really did conspire to bring him down?
"Greed, in all of its forms; greed for life, for money, for love, for knowledge has marked the upward surge of mankind. And greed, you mark my words, will not only save Teldar Paper, but that other malfunctioning corporation called the USA."

I actually saw this trailer about two weeks ago and thought it was interesting if any of the interviews with WS guys turn out to be true, there were some snippets in there about them hiring PR firms or something along those lines, which is a scary thought but really cool. I never knew that he was out to get them in the first place, but guess I do now. I probably won't see it in theaters, just rent it off netflix or something.

Who cares? The man engaged in a business transaction with another, consenting, adult.

Wow, that is harsh. It is very scary the things people will do to get famous these days... it doesn't even matter of you are a good guy coz if the opportunity to steam roll you comes up someone is ready to take it. I doubt Spitzer actually ever did anything bad to this chunky faced blonde whore, yet she's ripping into him like her daily KFC just to get noticed.

Isn't this the chick?

So just to clarify, the woman trashing Spitzer in the article posted by Edmundo is not Ahsley Davis, but rather the woman who was running the whoring operation, Kristin Davis.

As you can see from the link below, my KFC comments stand.

It's a shame that Spitzer has already been there, otherwise I would so tap that
