I need to get out of small time retail advisory sales. Looking to break into a HF or asset manager. Whatt chances do I stand? What positions would make the most sense? What skill sets / technical skills do I need to learn?

Calling advice from all you gorillas!

Jesus Christ, who cares about his spelling and grammer. He's posting on a random internet website (perhaps from a iphone), not writing a Board memo.

OP - you're clearly intelligent as shown by your high grades. You're going to have to network, depending on what kind of OCR there is at Fairfield. Don't be concerned with taking a job that isn't your "dream HF job" as long as it's relevant work experience and can get you toward your end goal. You may want to look into working toward the CFA designation, depending on the type of work you want to do.

Thanks Poeff. I mean I'll take the criticism from SECfinance, but from another chimp and baboon??? Would you three happen to have any valuable input, or are you just looking to raise your points? English majors?

I'm taking steps, outside of schooling, like learning excel vba and hopefully bloomberg in the near future. Would anyone have any other recommendations?
