The best European, non-BB trading firms are in Amsterdam. In addition to Optiver, SIG, DRW, IMC, Timber Hill, and many of the American props have operations of some kind in various parts of Europe. DRW has a London office for sure. Not sure how big the other one's are for their European offices, but there are plenty. There are probably a dozen other American-based props that have small offices based in various parts of Europe--just look them up and read their websites.
How come amsterdam is so big in prop?
Amsterdam is where the oldest options exchange in the world is located.....not sure how much that has to do with the city being a huge options center in Europe.
I believe the CBOT is the oldest options exchange.....
Yeah, that's basically why. The Dutch were the first to really embrace exchange based options, and so they had the most established trading presence in them. Optiver and the others were founded there and once it was known as the place to be for options it grew on itself from there.
EUROPROP Trading is based in Madrid and has affiliate offices in other countries ( France for sure )
How fun would it be to be a prop trader in Amsterdam for a year? That would be crazy.
In the Netherlands is where we had the real first speculative bubble centuries ago: tulips.
I bet you saw Wall street ...
I did, but I actually read about it years ago on a technical analysis book....
Flow Traders
What about Flow Traders?
It's a good international prop trading firm.
Oh.

Anyone know some names of European prop shops. Lets say firms similar to fny, sig, trillium, js...but that are based in Europe. Thanks
Futex? I'm not sure how legit they are.
Optiver and IMC are based in Amsterdam. Or have large offices there at least.
How is Futex, they seem a bit dodgy? Anyone have any real insight on them?
Europrop Trading is rescent but provides good rates / services
All Options
A friend interviewed at Futex. Four year contract, profits split 50/50.
Good list here: http://www.tradersnarrative.com/list-of-proprietary-trading-firms-735.h…
That list isn't good, most of those aren't Euro based. Also, it's filled with scams shops.
Another legit one: Flow Traders.
If you took the time to scroll down champ there's a list for European firms.
EDIT: Tibra looks legit, Mako Global as well. Up to you to find out.
