Background Checks and Drug Tests
For those with MBB or other elite summer consulting internships, when does the drug test happen? Do they make you an appointment in the middle of the spring semester, or do you get tested later?
What kind of things would be enough to get you dinged in a background check?
My MBB doesn't drug test and I dont think the others do either.
As for the background check, if you misrepresented something important, expect a ding.

Dude I already told you. Mine doesn't and I don't think any other MBB do either.
If you want a specific answer then name the firm, but making some blanket request for anyone who works even remotely near consulting to enlighten you about their firms' policies is moronic, particularly when it's something you can just stop doing and then not worry about it.

BCG does not drug test in North America. I believe this is true worldwide but cannot guarantee it.
Don't drink water before you go to the healcare center. But do drink water as much as the nurse asks you to drink. My first drug test isn't approved because I drank too much water.
For the international student in the United States, the background check took two months (I am interning in one of BBs). Do pay attention to provide the current contacts of all the references. They would keep asking you to update with the current contacts till they can reach to your former supervisors or co-workers.
