CS S&T or BAML S&T or MS/GS PWM
Please help.
I have offers from CS and ML S&T (summer), which one is better? Or would you pick PWM at MS or GS - which I am still waiting to hear back. And I do not know what I want to do in the future yet.
They both said I can choose the desk.. but I don't know which to pick!
Please help!! Really appreciated.
I would take out PWM, unless you actually want to work in PWM over S&T.
Out of the other two it depends on desks, but I would go with a decision based on fit. Read the "Infatuation with top groups" thread, some good discussion over there.
They are two different fields. What do you want? PWM? Dont take GS/MS just because of its name.
Are you serious? If your goal is S&T, why summer at PWM? Jesus christ.
are the S&T offers for fixed income, equities, or generalist?
CS on Cash Flow Equities, and can pick desk- as in regional or HK/China. And BAML undecided- can pick as well.
If you want to go S&T, pick the S&T offers. Then pick the bank that you got the best vibe from.
Good luck and congrats.
CS or BAML, congrats sir.
I'd take GS anything, more prestigious.
and thats why your name is HBS or Bust.....more likely referring to the bust part
based in HK or? (for PWM at MS)
So for S&T, CS or BAML?
CS hands down
if u want to equities then cs. if fixed income then baml

depends what. if equities then CS, if ficc then BAML. u d be retarded to pick PWM over S&T
Yeah. S&T all the way. PWM is not a good business until you can become advisor aka when you have gray hair. then it's arguably the best job on the street.
They both said i can pick my desk. Which product/region should i do? I'm guessing I'd be a sales rather than trader. Which firm on Wall Street is best at S&T?
What do you like more?
Just bear in mind that there's a lot more yelling, stress, and money in S&T.
ML is pretty strong in S&T. CS is also pretty strong, but I believe ML does more business between equities and fixed income overall (someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
Arguably, GS and JPM are the best at S&T.
Yea I would def say stick with S&T regardless of name its not like CS or BAML are some middle market or no name firm lol In terms of the desk CS is definitely stronger in equities and BAML is so big now they are strong across desks from what I hear. Unless you can get placed on a star equities desk at CS id personally go with BAML, they are strong in many different areas.
So CS S&T > BoAML S&T?

Just curious on thoughts and more information on things such as prestige, lifestyle, pay, exit opps, etc. Thank so much in advance for those you comment!
S&T and PWM are entirely different lines of business. Use the search function and do some research.
bump
S/T. Its easier to leverage into a top MBA. It also would have better exit ops because of the implied better quantitative ability.
BAML S&T
Great! Thank you so much everybody for the input :) wilder01, sorry if this post bothered you. I was just trying to gain opinion on these offers specifically from BAML and MS
double
MS, sets you up for a great career in acting http://www.investmentnews.com/article/20150224/BLOG03/150229959/morgan-…
Also, this question is retarded.
Hahah forgive my ignorance, but why is it a retarded question?
