Bank CEO Bonus figures
JPM: Jamie Dimon comes out on top with a $1MM salary and $17MM bonus (5 years restricted stock)
GS: Lloyd Blankfein makes a $9MM bonus (restricted stock)
MS: James Gorman makes a $9MM bonus and $800K salary
BAML: Brian Moynihan makes a $950K salary and 0 bonus
C: Vikram Pandit will take $1 dollar at his own request
JEF: Richard Handler makes $12MM in bonus
I liked the idea that Blankfein should get how ever many inches of snow D.C. is getting for his bonus.
But everybody wins!!!!!!!
@dumbyoungbum
In his ass?
I wonder if it bothers them to have all the pressure and responsibility of being CEO qhile certain employees in S&T are making five times what they make. I don't see how that's worth it. Is it because they can schmooze their way into more exclusive clubs, even though they make less? If it's a desire to be famous, that doesn't make sense either, because if you're working at a place like Goldman you probably want privacy.
with a name like Dick Handler, you ought to get paid a lot
BREAKING NEWS STORY: Jatin works at jefferies, pathetic. Only kid I know that works there is from university of maryland and has a 3.0.
1styearBanker,
I wish I could have seen the look on your face when you discovered that you're bank's IBD hired more state-schoolers than the Big 4. Probably learned a lot about yourself that day.
LMAO
Blankfein must be royally ticked off. The top 200 people under him probably outearned him by double or triple.
haha, I don't know why, but every forum. I don't work at jefferies or credit suisse or whatever bank you say I work at, but this is getting pretty annoying
Richard Handler ought to have the funniest name in the industry.
^ duh i already said that maxipad
as long as this thread is falling apart, i might as well throw in my 2 cents: get rid of that stupid fucking sig.
They'll get their bonuses after some other industry effs up enough to take the spotlight off of the banks.
WF: Stumpf makes $18.7 million

CEO/Executive Compensation (Originally Posted: 03/25/2011)
Every day I hear people complaining about CEO compensation at banks & financial firms alike.
Not only does it come off as envious, but it also screams flasehood. I mean these CEOs are the heads of companies that oversee billions upon billions of dollars in deals. The sheer size of these companies make their bonus of 10 million look minuscule.
However I can't find any evidence to back this up. Are there any studies done on executive compensation at banks vs. other companies? Maybe a compensation to revenue ratio study or something?
CEOs of really successful businesses get paid much better than banks. You can own your own small business and get "paid" more than a CEO of a bank.
the financial industry gets this rap from the buy-side. portfolio managers can get paid a ridiculous amount of money if they perform well
Well consider this, Goldman had revenues of $39B in 2010, and has assets of nearly 1 Trillion... Blankfein made $13,200,000 including bonus... So yea.
Investment Banking Executive Salaries (Originally Posted: 07/10/2013)
So who are the highest paid people at the investment bank? I believe at some banks the Head of Investment Banking will make more than the CEO of the overall bank itself. i.e. Matt Zames vs. Jamie Dimon at JPM...though this had a lot to do with the London Whale incident...Jerry del Missier, who was BarCap's COO, made more money than Bob Diamond...I've read of similar cases at other banks as well. At the same time, would a top rain-making MD make more than the Head of Investment Banking in any given year if their group was performing well? Or would the upside flow up to the senior executives first? On the S&T side, I believe that traders in any given year could make more than CEOs or Group Heads based on strong P&L performance.
So, who would be the highest paid person in the investment bank?
