BRING DOWN THE ONE PERCENT (1%) !
I might not agree with all that OWS has to say, but having interned at JP Morgan, THRICE, Morgan Stanley, Lazard, AND Bain Capital, and who currently works at a top hedge fund after attending HBS, I can say, with full confidence, I welcome all forms of riots if they’re against the very rich.
You think I'm trolling? I'm not trolling. I feel this way and I'm sure many gunners feel this way too.
This is MY manifesto for the up and coming hot blooded ambitious young gunners:
The innocent hard working people who make 6 figures are kids like us. Some of the guys at the top, the 1%, def did NOT get to where they were without some kind of fraudulent activity, some I witnessed myself while an intern. I went through a lot during my childhood. I did not take summer vacations in the Hamptons, unlike many of my former Harvard College classmates. Hell, I couldn't even afford a fucking MP3 player back then. I worked my ass off to get to where I am. And guess fucking what? I AIN'T FUCKING STOPPING.
In the words of 50 Cent, "...They call me new money cause i came up too fast..."
We need rioters like OWS. Whether they’re right or wrong, its good to stir up some hatred from time to time against those at the top of the ladder.
Taking down the top 1% will only
make our lives easier to make
it to the top. it eliminates the
established people and
makes way for new blood.
We did not end WW2 by sending millions of American troops in a brute bayonet-to-bayonet combat onto Japanese soil. We thought outside the box and dropped 2 nukes. All it took. We didn't climb the fucking mountain. We blew that shit up!
And what happens when I become the 1%? Do i welcome rioters? DAMN RIGHT I DO. Revo-fucking-lution. It's what drives human evolution and keeps our blood boiling. Haters always gonna hate on the most successful. I'll just arm up, get some bodyguards, retire to my inner mansion, accept it and move on.
OCCUPY WALL STREET. And I mean literally. OCCUPY THAT SHIT. And make it mine.
Full disclosure: me, my parents, and brothers have donated to ows. monkeyshit, away freaks.
Machiavellian Darwinism. Love it. +1
Awesome fucking post, OP
I believe the exact quote is "they call me new money, say I have no class. I am from rock bottom, I came up too fast."
love the quickmeme photo
Did I hear revolution
fucking right, the world is yours for the taken...fuck the top 1 %, I want to be in it!
I agree with the OP...plus it's more fun
amen
Really? You hope to get a job as a result of the work of a bunch of clowns that Ayn Rand would certainly describe as "moochers" in the worst sense? If you had any pride, you would get the job by networking or having the ability to make it rain at your firm. The fact that you require others to vault you where you want to go (and donate $$ to them, at that) shows that you are either incompetent or lack confidence. You are Paul Larkin, and you seem to feel that your Harvard diploma dictates that the entire finance industry should part and let your pasty ass enter.
This.
What CrimsonGunner is trying to say in an abrasive way it is statistically more likely to rise in income level if the wealth distribution was similar to what it was maybe a couple or more decades ago. As the CBO study cites, http://www.cbo.gov/publications/collections/taxdistribution.cfm min. adj. income more than doubled for the 1%, from '79-'06, increased 1.5x for the top 10%, 1.2x for the middle quintile, and and a mere 1.12 for the second quintile. Granted most of us here would probably be in the top two quintiles but even upward mobility there is limited.
I'm not going into the whole it's better to have a stronger middle class than a banana republic even though it's true but I would to ask this: Is the guy in the top 5% a lot smarter than the top 8% guy? Does he work a lot harder? Does he network a lot better? Maybe he read the BIWS Networking Ninja guide? What were the factors that made his income and subsequently wealth rise much faster than his counterpart? I would say a major part is attributed to luck. This whole moocher comment is just an easy way to dismiss reality and you are only kidding yourself if you believe it. Enough of quoting Ayn Rand books. They are fiction and theories in the purest sense and you're not convincing anybody of your views but the fantasy world libertarians with those references.
Wasn't Rand on food stamps when she died? Yeah, shining beacon she was...
Yeah, I'm not actually a huge fan. Just pointing out that this guy's statement reminds me of the "it isn't fair that some people should have all the money while others haven't had a chance" that keeps popping up in AS...and the " Do i welcome rioters? DAMN RIGHT I DO" is complete BS...easy to say when you are on the bottom looking up...
She was actually taking SS checks and justified it by saying tat she should get the benefits since she paid or them their entre life.
Also, on the OP's topic. Who is to ensure that once you're in the 1% they won't try to take your money too?
So this guy posts something which a lot of people have basically been saying for weeks on end now and getting shit for it, but he says it in a more sensationalist way, he gets rewarded. Sounds fair.
Lesson #1 of Earth Club: Life on Earth is unfair.
Until they make shooting people that piss you off legal, the best you can do for yourself is ignore it, brush it off, and go fuck some pakistani women.
lmfao this got 3 monkeyshits
These douchebags hate me here because I had the nerve to challenge their views.
LOL
Or because you're retarded.
