Buddy at UBS LA hasn't gotten his contract back - but he said that it'll pay street. I guess it is possible (but unlikely) he'll be in for a big happy surprise

I believe the guy who said 70k + 15k. UBS LA is known for having dynamic pay based on how much they want you.

A buddy of mine at GS TMT got 65k + 12.5k. Looks like pay is moving up everywhere.

It's possible. Top groups have been having trouble hanging onto summers. UBS LA has been hellish and only last year did they keep all their summers (minus one or two. GS TMT has had a prob with guys jumping into consulting etc. as well. I guess pay is one way to keep people from leaving.

I guess the grass is always greener on teh other side when you've been able to intern at a great group and have most positions on the street open to you. For the rest of us, keep scrambling to get into those groups.

Are they really paying 65k + 12.5k and 70k + 15k? Crazy. I thought respected groups didn't have to pay as much.

Yes, you do have tremendous power, especially if you're coming off a successful summer internship. A couple of my friends have already shopped their offers around, resulting in about 5k more base and a couple grand more in signing bonus.

For a 1st yr S&T analyst in Goldman Tokyo: 60k + 10k (sign-on) + 10k (relocation)

Do they provide housing allowances in the US and Europe? Because for Tokyo, they don't provide monthly housing stipends except for a 10k relocation assistance package. From what I have researched, seems like HK is the only place that provides a monthly housing stipend. Anyone care to confirm? Thanks!

are housing stipends the same as relocation comp, i.e. reserved for ppl who get signed on & sent over from home? i'm moving there in January, but can put it off if getting signed on from the US means an extra 10k.

mikesdabossFor those who just finished summer internships, what was the offer for fulltime?

60k + 10k?

For those who finished internships, the offer is usually 60k + 10k +5k as an incentive bonus to sign early

That's alittle too high for returning guys, gq.

It is usually 60k +10k +1k, the 1k being the incentive bonus to sign early.

I know no one who received 5k incentive. If you did, that's pretty sweet, but just letting the guys out there know that 5k is not the norm.

I've heard from senior people that next year's bonuses are gonna be 125K for top tier 100K for 2nd tier 80K for 3rd tier

Ok, I'm lieing.......

Maybe not....

static being what?

on average what is the year end bonus for first year analysts? does it vary between banking, management, and s&t?

Static depending on July '07 bonuses. Rumor is that 07 bonuses are 100K top tier. So if it stays static it won't be so bad I guess.
