Corp Strat @ Disney, AmEx vs. M/B/B

What do you guys think about an M/B/B analyst-level offer vs. an analyst offer for corporate strategy at a Fortune 500 company? (Disney + American Express are two that recruit at my school, but it could really be any Fortune 500 with a good internal strategy division).

Upside - If you were likely to end up at an internal corp strat after consulting (or after B-school, after consulting), you may have just skipped ahead a few years in terms of career development. Also, corp strat lifestyle is supposed to be a bit better than M/B/B (less travel, hours).

Downside - Worse B-school placement? Worse pay/benefits? I'm just guessing here - someone who knows something, help me out!

Disney and GE in particular are very good corp strategy divisions. I would not put them on the level of MBB in terms of exit ops to finance or MBA programs but they are close. Especially if you excel in the corp strategy and bear many management responsibilities.

I have only heard Disney corp strategy is on par with MBB, maybe even better if you want to go into tech/media/entertainment. I would say that the other corp dev jobs isn't as strong as the MBB opportunities with regard to exit opportunities (buy side) and bschool (since MBBs have such strong track records for bschool).

Not sure how other corp dev jobs stack up to non-MBB shops though.
