Do BBs Use Recruiters?

In the past few months, I have had recruiters contact me about position openings. However, the banks are essentially no-names, I am not talking about boutiques, but they are companies I never heard of. For example, I got a call about some Japanese bank(not Nomura), that I never heard of. Then I had a call about some Israeli bank looking to recruit. I was just curious to know if BBs or large banks even use recruiters. I can understand these smaller banks using them.

BB's do use them, but obviously not as a primary talent sourcing tool. That's what campus recruiting / analyst programs / associate programs are for.

Also, it's worth considering that no-name shops that are broke can't afford recruiters to begin with. So if they can afford a recruiter, they're probably somewhat baller.

Would like to hear more experienced opinions.

They definitely do, but MUCH more so at the senior levels. BB HR is pretty sophisticated, and easily has enough quality demand to fill grunt analyst/associate roles.

Please don't quote Patrick Bateman.

Got a call about an Israeli bank as well. Was going to consider the position, the bank is actually quite large but it would of been on the commercial side of things. Got my current BB position through a recruiting company.
