Doostang is trash
They're charging $499/month now! You can't even contact other users without paying, who do they think they are...idiots.

???
really? that is a VERY surprising move. Well, hopefully the jobs section on WallStreetOasis.com will be able to provide some good opportunities for people who can't pay the $499.
It's a good place to find
It's a good place to find great resumes...to those with resume questions use the good ones you see there as your template. Maybe steal extracurriculars off someone's resume if they're really good :)
is doostnag really that
is doostnag really that helpful in networking?
isn't the 499 only for
isn't the 499 only for recruiters? does it affect regular users?
$499?!
If you're talking about for regular users I find that hard to believe.
I had used the site a lot for networking, resume questions, school questions, etc. up until just recently. A week or so ago I tried to log on only to find that my password, username and email are no longer recognized by the site. Subsequent emails and petitions to their info and contact email addresses have garnered nothing (yet). It's too bad, because I really liked the site and honestly have no idea what rule/policy I must have broken to have been penalized.
I would appreciate it though if they'd have the courtesy to at least respond to my emails so that I could perhaps reconcile things with them (unless they want to charge me $499, which isn't worth it for me right now).
I don't think that Doostang is trash though. I really, really enjoyed the networking and resume aspect of the site. It has been a big benefit to me in some respects and I'm thankful for it.
Its a Shame
I used both Doostang and this site for many of my questions and felt Doostang was a good counterpart to the info WallStreetOasis provided. Networking and finding people within a company was very helpful and its a shame that it is all limited info now unless you want to pony up $499.99
