I just got an offer for a boutique investment bank for an internship but I will be in their S&T team.
They said I need my fingerprint to be inked because I'll be in their S&T team, any idea why? Thanks.

I recently started working at an investment management firm and they are requiring me to submit fingerprints to FINRA. I was wondering how common is it for an undergrad analyst to submit fingerprints? Have others had to get this done as well?
You should probably use the search function.
Fingerprints are 100% standard as part of a background check.
I had to send in a semen sample too

Am I thinking a bit too far into this? I need to get fingerprints at my banks office this week for SA background check. Is it wrong to show up in ya hurt and jeans, typically what I wear to school in nice weather. Should I just throw on some bus casual, or does it not matter they won't remember me anyway

Usually they don't do it at the actual bank. You sure? Mine was at a UPS like most are done.

It's required by any business that falls under FINRA jurisdiction ie from a neighborhood financial advisor to BB.

They want to track how far you'll run after your first 2 weeks on the job.
This is why the Blackberry's have GPS tracking. The finger prints go deeper than the FBI, i.e, NSA, NAMBLA, etc.
