Help me get the job

After an informal interview with a recruiter at an F500, I received an email from HR stating I had received a "very strong evaluation" from the interviewer. They are now asking for a copy of my resume. The recruiter told me that if I made it through HR's filtering process that he would do everything he could to get me the job. So what I need is some resume review, because I this is a legit chance at a job I want.

I will have 2 links, the first link is my resume in the M&I format everyone seems to love, and the second is an edited version of the first by a friend who works HR for a public health company (unrelated to finance but HR nonetheless).

On a side note I've posted my resume before and was told to add more numbers and elaborate on my research, but the research I do is very light and I don't overly want to lie (unless someone wants to PM me some research they did and the results). Also, the Skill Summary section on the Edited version contains random words as of right now, I'd fit them to the position if people think I should use the Edited version, but personally I don't like that whole section.

Also be careful most of these F500 roles even "financial" roles are accounting focused. Your resume screams wall street/high finance in terms of your primary interest due to the PWM internship, finance major, and wall st + morningstar training. I would take the wall st training out when applying to non-high finance roles.

You have to understand that a lot of kids throw their resume out everywhere. The last thing a F500 company wants is an IB wannabe who's clearly not passionate about this role and is only applying to get an internship under their belt/as a backup. They'd take a less qualified kid who's genuinely interested in working for a F500 than a more qualified guy who's got high finance written all over him.

^^^This.

It really depends on where you are applying. If you are applying to the P&Gs, J&Js, IBMs, of the world these guys are looking for people to stick it out for the long haul and besides even if you end up getting the job, your resume will not make much sense. You'll have Wall Street training, and then a role in F500, getting a job in IBD in the future will be more difficult, unless of course your F500 job includes modeling skills and M&A support.

I thought the WST Training would help them see I can use Excel decently but I see what you guys are saying, I'll take it off. And the job is a FT entry level analyst position, not an internship, if that was to make any difference.

The recruiter was the head of the FLDP program not HR, it was a separate person from HR that contacted me. I was supposed to have sent it to them already, but I squeezed into the info session late and bypassed it. So I just wanted to make it as good as possible before I sent it in.

If the recruiter said he'll get you the job, then you'll be fine, HR doesn't pick candidates they are more like a support function. Although I must say if the guy is going to help you get the job, you will look horrible if you bail to try and do IBD.
