How should I report GPA on a 4.33 scale?
My university's GPA scale is e.g. A- = 3.66 / A = 4.0 / A+ = 4.33. How should I list my GPA on my resume? Currently I just put the numeric value, but I'm concerned that employers unfamiliar with my school's scale will think it's out of 5.0, a la MIT.
I'm not sure whether to list it as X/4.33 or X/4.0, since the number of credits attempted for a typical course is 4.0, despite the possibility of earning 4.33 points toward GPA.
For online employment applications where I have to choose GPA from a drop-down menu that lack options for 4.0+, should I select 4.0 or scale my GPA down in proportion to a 4.0 scale?
Also, my in-major GPA is about 0.2 higher than my cumulative -- should I list both, or just the cumulative? I currently list both to three significant figures.

hmmm, honestly not sure but
hmmm, honestly not sure but genuinely curious what people in the industry think
Many universities have +/-
Many universities have +/- grading scales, but your grading scale is still out of 4.0 hence A=4. List your gpa X.Y/4.0, no need for 3 sig figs just round.
I generally think you should list major gpa as well if it's at least 0.2 higher.
If at all possible, do not apply online. It's typically a black hole.

Your GPA grading scale is out of 4.33, so if you list is as /4.0 you'd be lying. Just recalculate your GPA in the typical method (A+ = 4.0, A = 4.0, A - = 3.66, etc.) and list it as /4.0 on your resume.

I agree with acronym, just
I agree with acronym, just work it out to a 4.0 scale and put that. In other news, this A+ bullshit is completely absurd. I had this argument in another thread a while back. Its like saying you're 103% sure something is gonna happen, or there is a -4% chance of doing something.... schools are so fukin dumb
Disclaimer: I'm bitter because I would have gotten several of them but my school didn't offer it. Level playing fields are way over-rated anyway

My school also offers +/- for
My school also offers +/- for each letter grade. I just list my GPA without the "/4.0" or "/4.3". I go to a target so whoever views my resume will likely be an alum. They'll understand why I didn't put the denominator (they probably didn't either when they applied).
