PE Interview for Junior Summer Internship

Hey guys...so I sent in an application to a midcap PE firm in ATL and did not think that they would pick me out, but I got an interview and was wondering if anyone has any idea what to expect. It is for a summer analyst program, but I am not too familiar with PE interviews, especially without any prior finance experience. I generally viewed PE as a long-term thing.

So does anyone have any idea what they may ask in a junior summer PE internship interview? Any help is appreciated.

Anyone? Would appreciate any input that might be helpful, unfortunately there was not too much info on the WSO company database for this position. Thank you

LOL.....just use search function. If not look at what the fund focuses on and figure it out from there. If they seem like a fund focused on LBOs study for that. Shouldn't expect much if the interview is not in person. There shouldn't be any funds looking for interns at this point in the game especially out from where you are from which seems like SF. Not sure but gluck.

depends how reputable and competitive the PE firm you are applying to is. if it's a pretty big fund, then i'd say you should expect around a 50-50 split between fit and technicals. expect basic questions like what the difference is between PE and HF. be articulate in current trends in PE, as well as recent deals you've read about. in terms of technicals, know the basics of an IB interview (particularly accounting and valuation methodologies). if it's a buyout fund, definitely know how to walk them through a basic LBO model.
