Rothschild Europe - Groups (NatRes vs. Industrials vs. TMT)
I will be joining Rothschild (in Europe) in Global Financial Advisory in early 2013. Therefore, I have been asked about my preferences (they emphasized that these are only preferences, but whatever, they asked me..) in terms of group placement. I'm not that obsessed with getting into the most prestigous groups rather than getting into a sector/industry that really interests me.
Hence, which of the following groups(!) are the strongest / have the best culture (is there any difference at all between groups?!) / dealflow / etc.
Any information on one (or more) of these groups is highly appreciated.
*Natural resources (mining, oil&gas, steel)
*Industrials (engineering, automotive, chemicals, etc.)
*TMT
Thanks!
Nat res would, on the face of it, be solid. Think Rio Tinto and Roths relationship. Further, Roths have solid industrials / construction sectors contacts.
p.s. there's a hot asian girl in TMT (not usually my thing, but i would make an exception)
Personally, I'd go with natresources, not because of any possible exit opps in the future but mainly because I prefer it to the other 2.
