If you put a picture, you might get discriminated against (e.g. the recruiter hates fat people). If you don't put one, they might wonder about why you don't, since the majority of LinkedIn profiles have pictures.
My profile has a picture on it. Does yours? Do you think people should have one?

Hmmm, you have the option to pick whichever photo you like. Just select a good photo of yourself. Problem solved. I can't see racism being a serious problem in any reputable firm, and your photo does nothing to indicate height.

I feel like anyone who doesn't have a professional headshot won't be taken seriously, and as such, you should definitely have a LinkedIn profile picture.

If you are above average in the looks department and have a photo of you looking clean cut, it can only help.

I got one. If you have a professional shot that's great. But one taken from your laptops webcam won't hurt if done properly. Especially if you are job hunting outside of your metro area, it can be a plus to put a face to a resume.
