Should you put a picture on your LinkedIn profile?

This was one of the trending articles today on LinkedIn: http://www.businessinsider.com/should-you-include…

If you put a picture, you might get discriminated against (e.g. the recruiter hates fat people). If you don't put one, they might wonder about why you don't, since the majority of LinkedIn profiles have pictures.

My profile has a picture on it. Does yours? Do you think people should have one?

i dont put it on there cause unfortunately theres still racialism in the word, so let my expurrrence speak 4 itself.

linkedin needs 2 stop the hate and start the hirin cause when u see my performance youll be mirin

I'm tan, handsome, and the headshot does not reveal my short stature, so including the photo is a no-brainer.

I feel like anyone who doesn't have a professional headshot won't be taken seriously, and as such, you should definitely have a LinkedIn profile picture.

Unlike facebook a picture on linkedin isn't a must have. I think a lot of people just never get around to putting one up. If you do decide to put a picture up just make sure it is professional. It isn't a big deal if you don't have one though.

I think it's a very good idea to have your face shot. But questionable pictures should be avoided, such as you engaging in binge drinking or an orgy or looking like a criminal. I've uploaded one from a recent photo shoot in Moscow.

Good point. Even (soft-core) porn stars Kosher LinkedIn pics.
