It has been very slow since the switchover. I'd personally opt for a less visually appealing webpage in exchange for the old speed.

Nychimp, I'm very grateful for all your hard work and time that you've poured into this site.

I have accessed WSOAsis from different PCs and like COMPbanker said, its very slow - I actually find myself using it less due to inpatience.

Take all the unnecessary graphics out. We access this at work, so the less colour, pics, the better.

i think i know what has been slowing it down. i really don't think its the graphics...i had the access log saving too many records which i think was slowing it way down. i have fixed this but it may take a day to work through.

i am planning on moving to a dedicated server in the next few months which will cost me much more $$, but i think performance will improve significantly.

ultimately, the site is incredible. i have used the site 20% of my old usage since the switchover last weekend. i find myself unable to use it because it takes far too long to load pages.

also, the way the topic and posts have changed in terms of layout is unappealing. just a humble opinion, still a wonderful site.

cheers, net worth or nothing

guys, i appreciate the feedback and i agree a lot needs to be done to improve the speed and overall layout...please know that my web dev guy is working hard to improve the options for you guys. The site will be as fast as it once was if not faster -- i think the problem are the logs of info. the site is storing by default with the upgrade. i had this same problem on the site when i first started it and i had to tweak a lot of settings and modules to keep it from crashing and keep it fast. expect the same development over the next few weeks.

i apologize for the delay in getting everything up and running but i will send out a notice when the site is closer to its "final" form in terms of looks and functionality.

thanks for the support.

I dont think its the graphics that much but still something is holding up the pages. The loading is not smooth but clunky instead. I kind of liked the older layout better. Also it would be nice if the background had a different color to the posts. Something that visually seprates one post from another instead of a simple box. JMT.

i think you can lose all the fancy images/graphics, forums run much faster when the layout is simple

right now...it runs really slow, i personally thought it was fine before.... except the search feature which seems to be much better now

I don't like the new design at all personally. I know you put a lot of work into it but it's an eyesore and it's very slow. I think you should have left it the way it was chimpy.

slowness has nothing to due with the "graphcs", but how the browser in IE7 is reading the "theme" / layout of the site.

i am working with my web developer over the last few days to switch over to a new theme / bone structure for the site that should look similar (still have sand dune and water, etc) but improve performance hopefully in IE7 as well
