Target School, Not a business major, possibly interested in S&T
http://www.razume.com/documents/18258
Im a junior at Penn and I am interested in finance. I think I would like to do S&T, but I am not sure. I am definitely looking for some experience this summer and I think a Bulge Bracket firm is the way to go to learn the most. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Jesus dude, your format is heinous...
You have a lot going for you. You go to an Ivy, not Wharton unfortunately, but PP&E is a well-respected program. However, your formatting is absolutely garbage. Your information is irregularly presented, and it's inaccessible, i.e hard to read, different levels of formatting make it challenging to the eye rather than welcoming. Take advantage of your career services office at Penn, have them help you format it.
Read all the tips Brian provides there for resume creation: difference between past and active tense as it relates to your experience, vocabulary choice, and formatting clarity. Do all that, and your experience + brand name ought to carry you past the HR filter and get you a first-round, after that it's up to you. Your information is good, just the presentation sucks at this point. Best of luck.
This makes me wish I applied myself a little more in High School.
Get rid of the Rochester section, and round your GPA up to "3.5/4.0"
And happypants is right, get some resume formatting tips from the career center.
I suggest speaking with Penn career services. I regularly visit the wharton counselors and they are extremely helpful.
The one thing i'd be careful of, is that I don't see much math on your resume. Which stat did you take? 101, 111, or 430? the coursework covered in 430 deals with sample S&T interview questions, so I recommend you refresh your memory with probability, as I took 101, and it does not prepare you for even the simplest bulge bracket probability questions. After taking 430, I felt that I was much more prepared for the S&T sample questions i've sen.
Good luck for OCR,
