Timing Dilemma

I wasn't sure which forum to post this in, so apologies if it's the wrong one.

My dilemma is this;

Applications for London banks etc are pretty much all open now. I have just completed an internship with an F10 company in fp&a, and I will be applying for an ER internship.

I am starting a PE internship in about 2-3 weeks, which will consist of research and working on deals etc.

The question is; should I wait until I have started my internship and have a couple of bullet points on my resume, and then apply. Or should I apply now, and just mention somewhere at the bottom of my resume that I accepted an internship offer with the PE firm? Bare in mind, most places recruit on a rolling basis.

Cheers.

You can't put something on your resume that you haven't done yet. You can, however, apply and in your e-mail note that you're also going to be starting the PE internship, and will follow up with an updated resume when that's underway.

Sure you can. I put an upcoming internship on my CV back in my college days and got asked how I got it when interviewing for BBs. The preftige of the upcoming internship certainly helped me get more interviews with preftigious BB groups (top IBD groups and investing groups).

At the end of the day, a CV is all about signalling. Sell it well, brother.

And if you did it in my group when we were reviewing resumes, you would've been thrown out. A resume is a list of your accomplishments, not what you plan to achieve.
