Which consulting firm is considered to be the best for health and life sciences consulting?

I have been thinking of doing life sciences consulting, with a focus on consumer health, for some time and have been wondering what some of the top firms in that area are.

Deloitte S&O is pumping money and consultants into building their healthcare and life sciences practice right now.

Haha! Deloitte's pumping money... EVERYWHERE! Never seen a firm try to grow so aggressively.

Yes, this is true. However, there is an inordinate focus on healthcare/life sciences, especially on the West Coast.

See: PwC's aggressive hiring these past few years.
Currently: future neurologist, current psychotherapist Previously: investor relations (top consulting firm), M&A consulting (Big 4), M&A banking (MM)

It seems Deloitte and LEK are definitely trying to grow in this space. If you are in SF, check out Triage Consulting.

"You are neither right nor wrong because the crowd disagrees with you. You are right because your data and reasoning are right." -Warren Buffett

In no particular order: IMS, PwC/Strategy& (Booz), Deloitte S&O, ZS, LEK, MBB

Triage is focused on revenue reimb only. ZS is sales and marketing only. IMS leans heavy on the data/informatics. Strategy projects are typically snapped up by MBB, PwC/S&, and Deloitte S&O, with each firm losing bids to the others here. LEK does do strat work, but they are extremely small in comparison to the other firms listed here.
