Competitive GPA for full-time recruiting and on-cycle?

What's a generally competitive and "good" GPA to aim for in your junior and senior year after you've landed a SA, assuming you're looking to optimize for FT recruiting and MF/UMM on-cycle?

If the answer changes based on target/semitarget/nontarget and strong group/mid group/weak group, please give a range or approximation for each scenario.

Right now I'm thinking a 3.75+ is at the point of diminishing returns and you can focus on other things (GMAT, networking, travel) assuming at least semitarget and mid-strong group, please correct me if I'm wrong.

For FT recruiting, you will get looks from a top target even with a 3.6, If you are non-target, I would definitely try to maximize it. Also thinking about diminishing marginal utility here is stupid because you only have one career and you should maximize your odds of success in what you are pursuing. the opportunity cost is big and you should sacrifice on sleep/fun/travel rather than your GPA. That's just my two cents.
