ms internship questions? please answer!!

hey guys,
im a soph and i just heard back from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney's branch internship program(?) for a first round interview
from my research, it basically seems like a wealth management internship?
does anyone know much else about it?

also, will the first round interview be mostly fit or technicals as well? basically wondering how the interview will be structured

thanks for your help!

Congrats on getting the interview. Since you're a sophomore, I would expect the interview to be mostly fit/behavioral. To impress, keep up with the markets and be ready to speak intelligently about them. Check the Interview Prep section of the Morgan Stanley website (Careers -> University Programs -> Interview Preparation) for tips and sample questions. If it's a private wealth management program, I would expect them to give you questions on your selling ability, communication skills, and market knowledge. Good luck.

No technical Only behavioral, why are you interested, do you know what we do, what are your opinions on the market? (possibly but for a sophomore, im not too sure) Just look good, speak well and impress. You won't learn much but its a decent opp to meet and understand a few things about the industry (retail).

i inteviewed towards the beginning of the month. I am guessing they are waiting until they do all thier first round interviews before they make a final decesions. Did they tell you when you should here by they told me it would be a couple weeks and i guess I am coming up on a couple weeks now

i interviewed towards the beginning of the month, before the deadline even passed. I hope they let me know their decision eventually rather than leave me hanging.

yeah i still havent heard back either-its nice to know you guys are in the same boat though! please let us all know if you hear back and i'll do the same!
