SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg updated his status to "married" on Saturday.
Zuckerberg and 27-year-old Priscilla Chan tied the knot at a small ceremony at his Palo Alto, Calif., home, capping a busy week for the couple, according to a guest authorized to speak for the couple. The person spoke only on the condition of anonymity.
The ceremony took place in Zuckerberg's backyard before fewer than 100 guests, including Facebook's chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg.
The guests all thought they were coming to celebrate Chan's graduation but were told after they arrived that the event was in fact a wedding.

Au contraire.... people in this country are apt to divorce because they rarely do it Zuck and Pricilla's way. These "divorcees" date for 2/3 years, get engaged , get married 5 months after the engagement. In other/some countries, the couple doesn't get married until they spend between 3 and 5 years engage. That way, you get plenty of time to bail out and avoid a marriage if your partner turn out to be a prick.

all the people calling her a gold digger -- well, she's a harvard grad, went to the #5 medical school in the nation, and met him BEFORE he was a billionaire. if she wanted to gold dig, she could easily have gotten with a much uglier guy who went to harvard med/law/mba school at the time. compared to a 19 year old KID (zuck) at the time, before he became a billionaire ANY older grad student would've been higher up a notch than him in terms of dating. and no harvard girl is dumb enough to think gold digging == going after a start up "entrepreneur" regardless how many millions he's got from angel/VC funding because we all know 95% of start ups fail within 5 years and we all know initial angel/VC funding doesn't mean shit. 4/10 successful investments at a vc firm is considered "amazing" in this industry. if she met him after FB became super fucking hot, then she might be gold digging. but she didn't.

So what does he do now? Grow Facebook? There's not much else they can do besides diversify into other areas (throw bills around buying crap like instagram). He's only 28 and has made satan money. For most people this spells impending doom b/c they have peaked and there's nothing left for them. Hard drugs are the only thing that can give them that high they felt before until they OD. I like to call it the rockstar effect.
If you're wise at all, you know life is not about the summit but rather the climb to the summit b/c that is where the real joy is found and now, Mr. Zuckerburg has no where to go but tumbling down.

No one should have that much money. period (and yes, I disagree with socialism). Never done any research on this, but I think he started Facebook on a whim b/c of a girl (getting dumped, whatever). If so, he obviously really liked this girl and he could have been waiting around for her to change her mind (hence the 9 years he held off with the asian chick) but never materialized. Thus, he cut his losses. Probably used his admin status to creep on this girls every move, too. If you think about it, almost everything a man does is for a girl one way or another...

i heard in an interview that what facebook's goals now are to make it so facebook is used outside the phone/computer realm FOR EXAMPLE, if you are at an airport and someone asks for a passport instead all they do is take a picture (and since everyone tags pictures of each other facebook has built its own face recognization tech) and it will go though fb database where their profile will show up (fb will stamp it if their info is legit) but there are some kinks they need to work on before that happens. So hands free identification for whenever someone asks for it. Another thing they are hoping to do is bascially build a phone.... but not really.... i think that they will better use the face recog more creatively for us to use in the future....... the CIA has also invested some money in fb through IQT (the CIA VC fund)...... so i am pretty sure something like that is gonna happen

On one hand I think it's totally unfair to call her a gold digger but on the other hand, i can't fucking stand the general populace calling them a "power couple." i went to a target school. i can give them hundreds of female names who are attending top law/med/mba schools and some really cute girls who started businesses while still in college making more than what zuck's wife will ever make after 8 years of medicine.
