Excellent resume for a freshman, well formatted and filled with plenty of relevant info.

A few things:

-Not sure what you're applying to right now, but before I studied abroad, I listed the University I had not yet studied at for scholarships and stuff because it was well known (wasn't LSE). If you want to keep it, don't write the courses yet, just write something along the lines of: "-Selected by [Study Abroad Organization] to join the faculty of [Economics/Finance/Management] at LSE in [month] 2011"

-I would list your coursework in a different order. Start with the most relevant and don't write "Introductory" for lower-level courses. Should read: "Financial Statement Analysis/Business Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Intermediate Microeconomics, Macroeconomics"

-This is something I also got grilled on by WSO when I was younger, but you MUST list the fact that you are an intern. By saying you're just an Analyst, there's an implication that you're full-time, which you are presumably not. Just write "Investment Banking Intern Analyst" and "Intern Analyst" for your two main internships.

Good tip. I know someone who got burned by not following this advice.

How important do you think it is to list "intern" instead of "analyst?"

I talked to a recruiter and she said that there's no need to put "intern" because it's pretty obvious from everything else on your resume (dates, year of graduation, etc.)

Looks good, especially as a freshmen.

Two things

  • Leave out the proficient in word part, everyone expects you to be proficient in office tools. As far as the photoshop part.. I have no idea.

  • Be careful about listing your activities or interests. Since we cant see them ill assume they are personal, but interests can hurt you as much as they can help you.

Other then that, it seems like a great resume. Network and good luck!

The things I have listed under activities are just things like econ club, finance club, and other campus orgs that I'm just a general member of.

What should I list under "tech skills" if not word and excel? Or should I just eliminate that line entirely?

Thanks!
