Anyone work out in the morning before class/work?

I'm thinking about changing up my schedule to be more productive. Get up, work out, eat breakfast, possibly read some WSJ, then go to class.

Does anyone else feel benefits from working out in the morning before class? What do your morning schedules look like?

If I didn't work out in the morning, I probably wouldn't be able to get through my day. If you have to be at work earlier than 9 it might all get pushed up a bit earlier, but here's typically what my schedule looks like:

6:00am - Wake up, Clif bar 6:15am - Roll out of bed, get gym bag ready 6:30am - Head to gym 6:45am to 8:15am - Gym 8:15am - Shower, change into work clothes 8:30am - Head to work, get there by 9:00am 9:00am - Work

Holy shit, working at a HF and still having time to work out an hour and a half a day. You just motivated me to go to the gym on my off day.

I work out from 6:15 to 7:00. My warm up is jogging down to my gym. 45min on the treadmill or 45min on the rowing machine. Before heading home for a quick shower and a quicker breakfast. Arrive at my job just after 8:00 and ready to start grinding it out.

I don't attend morning meetings and thank the good Lord for that. Stopped working out at 5 in the morning the day I left the military.

Do it in the morning. You will reap more benefits than if you had worked out later in the day. If you combine with a healthy breakfast, you'll have no trouble getting through a long day.

KingJuiceI know some firms have gyms in them, do they also have showers?/is that normal for people to do?

If they have a gym, they'll have showers and a locker room.

I do DIII athletics in college. It's nothing special, but I find working out in the morning and practice in the afternoon helps me focus through the day. I'm hoping to be able to find time to at least get in a solid morning workout next year after graduating. I've heard cross fit is popular at the boutique I'll be working for.

Morning workouts are best IMO, after a banana and coffee (no milk) as I can't do it on an empty stomach...you feel more alert and puts you in a good mood for the rest of the day.
