Asset Management Firms - Headed into my senior year
Hey Everyone,
I'm heading into my senior year and looking to get into Asset Management. I've compiled a list of asset/investment firms/hedge funds, ect. that I want to get more info on and apply to coming this fall. However, I was wondering if people might list some more well known asset managers that do some heavy undergrad recruiting just to see if there are any that I may have missed.
You'll probably get more responses if you post what you have and ask people to add onto it
^Agreed.
^ double agreed.
Company Name A.G. Edwards AIG Investments AllianceBernstein Allianz American Century Ameriprise Financial Bank of America Bentall Capital BlackRock BNY Mellon Capital Group Charles Schwab Credit Suisse Dodge and Cox Dreyfus Corp Eaton Vance Fidelity Fifth Third Franklin Templeton Fremont Group GE Asset Management Goldman Sachs HarbourVest Partners ING Group Interactive Brokers INVESCO Janus Capital Group JPMorgan Lazard Legg Mason Madison Capital Merrill Lynch MFS Morgan Stanley New York Life Northern Trust Northwestern Mutual Paulson & Co. PIMCO Pioneer Putnam Stifel Nicolaus T. Rowe Price The Boston Associates The Capital Group The Carlyle Group The Hartford TIAA-CREF Vanguard Group Wellington Wells Fargo
And these are traditional investment management firms, not much of an emphasis on hedge funds. Also, not really looking for wealth managers given the emphasis on sales. Feel free to add on as many as you can think of that hire a meaningful amount of people straight out of undergrad.
All of those do heavy UNDERGRAD recruiting? Damn, where have I been...
I'm not saying that they do, just that I've heard of them - if they don't then feel free to list the one's the don't. I'm not really sure for a lot of these hence the need for the help from you guys.
I had no clue whether they did or didn't, haven't done enough research to know.
nice list. thanks

AM Firms to apply to for senior year full-time job (Originally Posted: 03/30/2017)
I am currently trying to break into the AM industry in my senior year (next school year). Obviously, the top firms like BlackRock and Fidelity will be difficult for me to get into. So, I am trying to figure out the different tiers of AM firms and apply to all of them. I was just wondering what you guys think are the tiers of AM firms that one should apply to for an entry-level analyst position.
Do you have prior experience?

They are the biggest 400 however, depending on your city there will be LOADS of smaller firms.
Sorry for jacking the thread, but how difficult would it be to get a BlackRock offer (SA or FT) with an internship at a BB(GS/JPM/MS) ER? I feel the headcount is extremely tight so I don't have too good of a clue.
