B-School: International Placement

For those of you currently in B-School, what approach do students looking to move internationally employ to find top jobs? I often hear about the strength of alumni networks, but these often do not extend beyond country lines. Do international employers frequent the likes of career fairs at HBS, Wharton, and Stanford and is career services helpful in connecting students with international opportunities? Thanks for the help all.

CompB, I think it depends on how remote the place is. If you're looking to go to London, for example, I think there are frequently structured programs and trips that help you go out there to network / interview (I know here at Wharton there definitely are). If you're trying to get to other places that have less of a presence in whatever field you're looking into, you'd probably have to network / leverage your contacts you make at school to help you make some inroads.

either way, if you're going to be successful, you have to network your ass off and convince the company abroad that you're dedicated to staying.
