Blackstone Analyst Salary

Hey guys, so I've been wondering about something and hope those in the know can help me clear it up.

Blackstone hires pre-MBA associates for 2 yrs who had the 2 yr stint in IBD. Blackstone also hires analysts straight out of undergrad for the 3-yr program. However, by the end of the 3rd year, the straight-out-of-undergrad analysts are supposed to be at the same level (hierarchical wise in BX), thus saving the analyst 1yr.

The confusion is this. BX Pre-MBA associates gets paid 300-400k. Many have said that BX pays the first year analysts what BBs pay their IBD analysts. So does this mean that BX analysts will make much less than Pre-MBA associates even though they are at the same level hierarchically wise (since 3 yrs of BX PE analyst =2yrs of IBD+2yrs of BX associate)? Or does that mean the analysts salary jump from 60-70k to 300k? Please clarify.

Thanks.

1) $300-400k is all in with bonus, not salary 2) $60-70k base is just salary (does not include bonus which can be just as big as base, if not more) 3) both base and bonus (I presume) would both gradually increase from year 1 to yr 3 as an analyst straight out of ugrad so that by the time the analyst is starting year 3-4, they are making are making similar compensation to pre-mba associate

...these are just my assumptions - could be wrong since I dont know anyone personally at BX.
