Brushing up on financial modeling skills

So I'm starting a new job within IB in a couple of weeks after almost a year away from any financial modeling experience. What are some online tutorials that I can purchase and go over in only a couple of weeks to really fine tune my skills?

Thanks.

get training the street. Its cheap and will get the job done for your purposes. As someone who is trying to transitioning into IB, what were you doing before this came up.

I've been at a tech consulting start-up for the past half year. Before that I was in school where I took financial modeling coursework and also interned as a financial analyst at a law firm doing some financial modeling. It's essentially an IB analyst position, but other candidates had one to two years experience, so I would love to catch up in the next few weeks.

I would suggest FactSet's DealMaven. The only downside is the subscription expires. But, it definitely gives you on-hands modeling experience.

Why the hell do you guys have so many banana points and don't even know how to model

hahahaha gold but seriously, i agree with him

I'm not concerned with the very poor -Mitt Romney

Macabacus - in my opinion is probably too basic, but it'll teach you the basic concepts of a DCF

Damodaran - while good is pretty simplistic in its approach (in a good way)

I always felt that Rosenbaum's book and models provided a decent starting point for those looking to learn how to model. It is fairly detailed but should give you a good introduction to some of the finer points of valuation - calculating diluted shares outstanding, calenderization, etc.

But before learning how to model, learn some accounting. If you get your accounting down pat, modeling will come easier.
