Public Urination Background Check
I received a Pink Summons in NYC for public urination. I appeared in court and paid a fine. I am wondering how I should disclose this on employment applications. Thanks in advance.

lol,
id hire you
Wont come up, don't sweat it. They generally only flag offenses demonstrating moral terpitude.
that is probably not even a misdemeanor and would probably never show up on any background check whatsoever
a summons is not a misdemeanor so i wouldn't even worry...its basically like a speeding ticket
lol Ive got exactly the same prob; yeah man apparently we should not worry ..
drink less mate
hahaha.. don't sweat out man~ I was caught drinking underage (it sucked coz I was intoxicated on the street, otherwise wouldn't have been caught).. anyways, there are no records to check man~ probably things like academic integrity issue matters more..
I mean even if they do check, they should understand that when some kid just can't resist his physical urge and theres no toilet around..wat u expect lol
I was just curious, how do they do the background check on academic integrity stuffs like that?
I had a public urination ticket (on a national monument even) and it was completely cool, it never came up.
I am planning to disclose it on the application form to be safe. Does that make sense?
Don't disclose
They dont.
99.99% of background check typically consists of: 1) drug test 2) criminal record (felonies and other serious crims only apply) 3) credit check (to make sure you're not in bankruptcy) 4) transcripts (to make sure what you represented was true, GPA mainly) and that you are in fact a college graduate 5) work experience; call up past employers ONLY to verify the period of employment to confirm what you allege on your resume and throughout your interview process
How should you disclose a DWI? I told a buddy of mine to disclose on the background check form, and not to bring it up unless asked about it?
How bout public no.2?
Mass prosecutes public urination as a sex crime.
.
It also depends on the nature and depth of the criminal background check being performed. You can read more here: http://www.public-urination.com/public-urination-background-checks/

Hahahahaha this is pretty hilarious. I don't think there's any need for you to report to HR especially since telling them wouldn't help you with your image...
Hey guys, i'm new here. What does 'FT' mean in the context of banking?
Let's just hope they're not "pissed".
You should be ashamed of this corny joke lol.

When I see "Please curb your dog" signs*, I don't let my dogs piss there.
OP,
In situations like this, I am of the opinion it is your obligation to do no more or less than what is asked of you. If you signed something saying you would inform the firm of things like, you should. If you are asked by HR, compliance, or in any other formal capacity a question that to answer truthfully would require disclosure, you should. If not, I see no reason why you should and/or would be required to*.

Some places put you on a sex crime registry if you pee in public. You a sex criminal now, OP?
It's like a speeding ticket... would you report a speeding ticket?
So will I be ok then? In terms of not losing the job?
bump. Please help guys. Super stressed about this.
Explain to us how much you've thought this through before resorting to the wisdom of the internet. What upside is there for you to volunteer this information to them? In what situation would that make your position any better?
Just tell them Starbucks was full

If you would be dismissed once they know, what is the benefit of volunteering the info now? How does that improve your situation?

"According to Human Rights Watch's 2007 review of sex offender laws, sex-offender status for public urination is possible in at least 13 states."
guys please. I'm really freaking out. It was a dumb mistake. Has anyone gotten a similar ticket and been okay?
I once found out a 46 year old MD rainmaker received a public urination ticket 25 years earlier. I fired him on the spot.
Dick here probably found the guy on the Megan's Law website, OP. Maybe check to see if your name is on it
