What are the best B-Schools for someone that wants to eventually be a buy side fund manager?
Would it be Columbia, Chicago, and Wharton?

I'd say it's
Chicago/Wharton, then a big step down and then Columbia. There's a bigger gap between the 1st 2 schools and Columbia in IM than IB where all 3 schools are essentially the same. I'm sure HBS fares well just b/c it's HBS, but not sure how much of an advantage, if any, it has.

I was under the impression that Columbia was greater or equal to any other school when it came to investment mgmt???
What types of buy-side funds hire out of MBA school? Traditional long only pension and mutual funds? More aggressive multi-strategy hedge funds as well? Any further info would be greatly appreciated
