Thanks for mentioning Pitchbook, never heard of it before.
Breakfast briefing and 10pt news from WSJ are pretty useful. Others include MorningBrew, Finimize, Seeking Alpha
MarketSnacks is also very helpful!
This is actually extremely similar to MorningBrew except for being shorter. I'll sub to this too and see which one I like better

Excluding tools you use at work - Reuters Eikon, Bloomberg, Factset, etc; Let's make this a thread that adds value to everyone reading it.
1: Barrons 2: Financial Times 3: Economist 4: Bloomberg 5: Foreign Policy 6: Foreign Affairs 7: WSJ/NY Times (switch off every now and then so essentially interchangeable, NY Times has a broader focus, WSJ is more focused on the markets and business. I get a lot of business and markets news elsewhere, so the NY Times is usually my preferred option.)
Also listen to a ton of podcasts from a variety of producers, but these are my core 7.
Would say you have it covered. Washington Post also solid.
I hate watching Bloomberg TV, next time you watch it count how many times they say: "Bring up that Bloomberg chart," or "Look at this chart," and take a shot.
The Onion is personally my favorite, followed by this forum, and then the Reddit Front page last.

I'm starting to be more interested in stocks and markets, and i was just wondering what you guys use when you want to find potential stocks to invest in, or look at updates for whats happening.
I mainly use Yahoo Finance, which is pretty good, but i'm hoping there's a better website you can recommend.
Morningstar has decent data feeds. Everything else is expensive. BTW, You can run scripts in yahoo and really get decent analytics for estimates. If you're making a screener by industry, use S&P's categories.
Morning star is pretty good, I just had a look. They show what they think the under valued companies are, which is really useful
Business Insider, Fox News, Buzzfeed
Buzzfeed has some really good stock articles about why males are oppressing every female based stock
twitter is good if you follow the right ppl

finviz is really condensed and full of article names, it looks like a good site. My biggest problem with google and yahoo was that they are full of pictures, ads and random shit that doesnt let you scan everything quickly. Its more pictures than articles

For business, I like Seeking Alpha's Wall Street Breakfast and MarketSnacks. MarketSnacks is like the daily newsletter version of the WSJ's "side column" on the front page.

In the morning I check bloomberg and read their "Five Things You Need to Know to Start Your Day" and whatever articles look interesting. Then I load up WSJ and go through the sections and load up a bunch of tabs with whatever I want to read and read articles sporadically throughout the day.
Other than that I get notifications from random news sources sent to my phone and might glance at CNN or CNBC but WSJ is where I get the bulk of my news.
I also check SeekingAlpha but more so for news on a specific stock

I think the whole concept of linking the stories of the week together in episodic fashion is a great idea. It's even good to read if you have been on your game following finance and business news, just to see all the big developments over the last week
