I don't know? When i first glanced at it it turned counter. Then a few secs later it was turning clock and i couldn't change it by just focusing....then i looked away, and bam, left again.

I actually think this thing might be fake and the comp periodically changes which direction the dancer is going in. I'll test it by having someone else look and see if we can see it heading in different directions.

Holy crap. I just tested it. I think it actually works! How the heck did they make this...?

It definitely worked. I managed to switch directions and my friend still saw it going in the same clockwise direction the entire time. Coolest trick ever. I'm promoting this.

pjones1021i can't see anything but clockwise
Yeah, same. I am trying to stare at it (sadly I'm doing this on a Friday night) and get it to change directions but its just frustrating

definitely fake, I caught the switch exactly as it happened.

hmmmm very interesting , found this clip on youtube and managed to catch the exact time when i saw it going counter clockwise, at first when i would go to that spot in the video it would indeed go counter clock, but after training i was able to prove it indeed does go both ways. Shame on me for thinking it was a hoax.

im really suprised so many people here dominantly see clockwise since there are so many people here that tend to be into the quantitative stuff. Very interesting, I really thought this was a fraud.

I'm an engineering major and still can't for the life of me see the counterclockwise thing...looked at it last night, this morning, and now for a while trying to see the other way, and no luck :(

try this. Go to think link, pause the video and say to yourself and believe that it will go counter close your eyes open them and it will be going counter. I now can make her switch every 180 degrees.

siick song too.

I did some searching about this right/left classification test and found a freakonomics blog link showing evidence to support the opposite of what the above site is stating. It appears that it should be "Left side" for clockwise and "Right" for counter-clockwise...

The research also noted that Women saw the dancer go counter-clockwise more often than men did.

Take a look! Link: http://freakonomics.blogs.nytimes.com/2007/10/23/right-versus-left-brai…

Yea sdb that would make a lot more sense.

I'm seeing clockwise (trading), but every once in a while I can get it to change, then it's a bitch to get it to change back.
