WSO's New Addition: Frequently Asked Questions

WallStreetOasis Members,

Today I’d like to officially announce a project that we’ve been working on for some time: <a href="//www.wallstreetoasis.com/">WallStreetOasis.com</a>'s <strong><a href="//www.wallstreetoasis.com/frequently-asked-questions">Frequently Asked Questions</a></strong>, or <span><a href="/frequently-asked-questions">FAQs</a></span>, page.

The purpose of this portion of the site is two-fold. First, we hope that by having the answers to a variety of questions that are continuously asked by new members, they can get information more quickly and efficiently. The second reason is to take some of the strain off of our great members who are constantly answering questions with consistent and solid information.

I’d like to lay out exactly what the <span><a href="/frequently-asked-questions">FAQ page encompasses</a></span> at this point in time. It is currently a work in progress (and we expect it to remain a work in progress), and we would love any input that members have, but we’ll get to that a bit later. <strong>Here is what our FAQ page currently has to offer:</strong>

In addition to these pages, we have a section covering the Best Discussions on different industries. We've started by compiling some of the longer threads that offer an array of opinions and ideas on each different industry. The industries that currently completed are:

In addition to these, we are also working on sections for Entrepeneurship and Humor (because we would hate to lose those classics by blumie, blastoise, Mis Ind, Uncle E, and more!)

What we need your help for is making sure we cover all the questions that are most important to you, as well as the best discussions/threads on WSO. If you think of something that has to do with:

1) FAQs, to add to the list;

2) Discrepancies, between what you believe and what is in the FAQs;

3) FAQs, sections that are missing;

4) Best discussions, threads that are missing or don't belong in the best discussions section;

5) any other questions, comments, or concerns as relates to the FAQ page;

please let us know in this thread. We will be moving the thread through the different forums for the next couple of weeks to ensure that everybody sees this post and has the opportunity to respond, SO IF YOU DO NOT SEE THIS THREAD IN THE FORUM WHERE YOU ORIGINALLY SAW IT, THAT DOES NOT MEAN IT IS GONE. It is most likely just in a different forum.

We look forward to your input, and your continued use of WallStreetOasis.com's forums, products, and services!

Thanks,

Patrick Curtis & the WallStreetOasis Team

This is fantastic! I'm extremely glad you were able to implement it. Congratulations to you and your own monkey army that put this thing together! I clicked through a number of the categories and think it looks quite good.

It's a good start, that's for sure. CB - thank you for what you've done, I definitely saw a few of your posts when going through those "best discussions"

For the Humor section, I would say off the top of my head to definitely include Eddie's threads on Four Loko is the Devil, Pts. 1 and 2. I couldn't even breathe I was laughing so hard!

I never saw those, do you have links to them?
