Ok now that my summer internship has just ended, and I found out that I got fucking ripped off on my rent. Because I'm probalby going to come back to work here or Boston next year, can someone suggest where I can find cheap apartments???

How much were you paying?
How much were you paying? New york rent ain't cheap and it goes up every year. Location is important. It is much cheaper to live in Brooklyn or Queens, but you'd hate your commute every morning. I moved apartments after two months because the commute was too much.
A lot of analysts working in midtown live: right in midtown, murray hill and upper east side. UES is probably the cheapest of the three. Get a roommate, get a convertible apartment and you can live quite comfortably.
The rule of thumb is you pay for what you get. You probably would need to spend close to the may they'll let you spend on rent (usually $1500). You really don't have too many other expenses, so you should be fine. Save your bonus, it's difficult to save during your first year. YOu need furniture, clothes, etc, lots of stuff that most peopel don't properly budget for.
Hell's
Hell's Kitchen/Mid-West/Clinton whatever is a reasonably good deal, Spanish Harlem isn't too ghetto (6 train will get you anywhere in Midtown/East within like 15 min.). Also depending on which firm you're working for, Fidi may make sense.
