Citigroup Global Transactions Services
One of my boys just took an analyst position with citi in the gloal transactions services...is this citi's S&T...What the hell is GTS and how does it pay/hours compared to the ibanking analyst positions?

No it's not IT either. It's front office. It sounds almost like a financial consulting arm..I thought they help companies with things like cash management. It's definitely front office, maybe similar to corporate banking

they basically help firms facilitate all varieties of financial issues..
hmm i guess that's a pretty vague description as well.
if you read JPM section on treasury securities & services, it might help you make sense of it.

I can say the Citi's GTS is
I can say the Citi's GTS is the best. It's their current powerhouse and makes Citi a shitload of money. The hours are a lot better than banking and they get paid on the same level as banking, but smaller bonus. But as of late- large bonuses b/c of the money they're making for citi while banking bonuses have decreased.

DaniNo, thanks for the reply. Are you familiar with or know anyone who is familiar with their interviewing process? I searched for posts on JPM's TSS division (which I'm guessing is Citi GTS's comp) and I haven't found anything concerning the types of questions they ask.
