JP Morgan Drug Testing

Does anyone know what JP Morgan's drug testing policy is? Do they do urine or hair testing? Do they test in Canada as well? Do they test lateral hires?

It's almost always urine. Little cup. A lot of banks have facilities on-site if you're going to start in NYC. Otherwise you'll need to find a Labcorp

Just don't do anything dumb for a few months

Should be pretty easy to manage

For regular Fall recruiting, for which I hear offers are given around October/November, when do BBs typically do their drug tests? Is it when you receive the offer, around the time that you start (next July/August), or sometime in between?

Of course, I don't plan to smoke while working (I actually haven't in a couple years) but senior year might tempt me.

I've heard of big 4 accounting firms doing random tests before the start date but most banks will test you when you go through processing aka the first wk of training.

So time your debauchery well.

My friend interned at JPM last summer in NYC and got a urine test about a month before he started, they just had him go to some testing center near where he lived......

currently an intern at JPM's dallas office. they make you take a urine test at a local testing center. are you worried about something?

i don't know anything about JPM specifically, but hair tests are expensive and not all labs do them so i highly doubt they would require that.

Hair tests are total BS. Nobody does them. I know it's hard for anyone to trust a random post on a message board, but you will learn it yourself when you get there.

seriosuly, there have been a 1000 posts on this crap already...obviously this doesnt mean that you should get your buzz up until the day before the urine test.

You should say DNA TESTING not hair testing. By law you are not suppose to collect any DNA sample for work purpose. I think that this is ONLY A RUMOR IN THE chat room. Required tests are URINE and / or blood (With your consent)

My guess would be between the end of April and mid-May (I think this is when most firms drug test for internships but I don't know for sure). Just quit doing drugs after spring break and you'll be more than fine.

I would agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
