My First Time
This post is a lot less interesting than the title indicated it might have been.
Next week I have a phone interview with Jefferies for a summer analyst position in IBD (NY office). HR said that there would technical elements to the interview. Which technical topics would likely come up over the phone?
I have no finance professional experience and I am not an undergraduate business student, but rather math+econ. I'm currently unfamiliar with a lot of the technical aspects of ibd interviews and eventually I will have it all down, but this phone interview is soon and I'd like to know what to focus on.
You'll last a minute, tops. It's ok though, everyone has a rough start. Remember to use protection!
Not to be a dick, but there are tons of threads on this- someone made one just last week about knowing basic technicals. I'll help you out, but go ahead and use the search function next time.

I have a buddy that works at JEFF M&A in NYC. I recommend lubrication.
Just look at past interviews on here. It is very standard and right from the interview guides. I have first hand experience, just study and you'll be fine.
if you have no finance background you are not expected to know all the valuation techniques/detailed accounting questions.
Be prepared to answer why you are interested in finance and economics. Also brain teasers but they are not common at JEF.
