I am super pumped about version 2.0 since I think we really raised the bar with all the extra video content and video solutions to the 9 LBO modeling tests....and we're not done yet. We're already working on version 3.0 which as always, will be a free upgrade to those that get in now!

Good Luck,
Patrick

ps - for those of you that have already purchased version 1.0, please e-mail [email protected] your receipt and she'll get you version 2.0 for free within 24 hours!

the guide is not specifically geared to pre or post MBA recruits, but I think would be useful to both to make sure you are sharp on the modeling, etc...that being said, I'm honestly not sure how often MBAs are given modeling tests.

I think for the most part, MBAs interviewing for PE (interns and FT) will be more focused on case studies and describing their deal experience (both in PE pre MBA and banking)...so obviously having that down will be key.

One of our goals in 2015 is to get some specific case study examples for the PE guide since we've seen that in conjunction with modeling tests, sometimes firms will just throw a CIM at you and expect you to build an Investment Committee Memo from scratch on the spot with your recommendations...

Is there a way to acquire just parts of the package? i.e: Someone might not need the modelling tutorials, of CV samples.. Thank you, the IBD guide was very helpful in my case!

Patrick,

Is there going to be a section for Q&A on the models? I've done a couple of them and watched 1 video. I noticed the video (specifically Full LBO 2) has very limited rational for why the individual did certain things. just for example, I think some people would disagree with someone choosing to use goodwill at a plug on the pro forma B/S adjustments however the way the video does it makes it seem like that is naturally fine and not instead a quicker way to do so when you're doing a model test under time constraints. There are some other places I would ask questions if available.

Would be nice if a Q&A function existed. It's something other vendors such as BIWS have where people submit feedback comments and have dialog around the model / video.

hey, I think this is a great idea...I think we can turn the commenting feature on videos pretty easily, the question is how quickly we could respond to questions such as these since we don't have a staff on board full time.

The modeling videos were done by a PE professional that is obviously busy doing a lot of other things...that being said, I could probably have a way to notify me and feed those questions to the appropriate person if need be.

I am a bit jammed up at the moment since we are only a few short weeks away from a massive upgrade and redesign for WSO, but I will put this on the list for post migration as something to strongly consider...given WSO is a conversation everywhere else, I don't see why good questions on the videos / clarifications shouldn't be allowed.

Thanks, Patrick

Hey Ad, you can find a detailed table of contents right here: http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/guide/the-wso-private-equity-interview-p…

It does not include a stand alone networking guide like the Investment Banking Prep Pack, but it does include a lot of advice about timing, how to speak with recruiters, etc...I'd argue that networking does not change dramatically, just the types of questions you would ask are obviously related to PE and not banking this time around.

While most bankers and PE applicants are polished enough by the time they are applying to PE, if you feel like you still need to work on Networking, that guide can be purchased as a supplement to the PE Prep Pack.

Good luck, Patrick

Question. When our video library access expires can people who purchased the guide still access the LBO modeling videos? I'm assuming yes.
