Thanks guys - General thank you to everyone

Just wanted to say a general thank-you to everyone who contributes to this site. I've learned a lot and continue to learn more through further research.

I landed an Ops internship this summer with a BB firm. I know it's not as sexy as FO positions but it's a start. Being a junior from a non-target, networking will likely be my entry into where I'm trying to go down the road. Keep grinding/interviewing and good things will happen.

That's a great start man, you're ahead of 90%+ of college grads.

Good job. Plenty of kids that intern BO make it, use that brand name to your advantage.

I'm on the pursuit of happiness and I know everything that shine ain't always gonna be gold. I'll be fine once I get it

Just keep in mind that the BO jump directly to FO is extremely difficult. You will probably need to get a top MBA at some point to make the transition.

It may not feel like it now, but you are way ahead of the game compared to the average Joe. My junior year I was making minimum wage slinging hash at the university cafeteria! Now give your all at that Ops position, impress some people, and see how far you've risen by the time you graduate. You should be able to segue right into a better position. Good luck!
