WSO Happy Hour: NYC, Thur, Nov. 29, 7pm
It's that time again--WSO Happy Hour time! Due to finals and year-end insanity coming up for many monkeys, this may be the last NYC edition of Happy Hour in 2012—and there’s that whole “world coming to an end” thing that also merits attention.
NYC Chairs In The Flesh and guerrillagrrl may have some good news to share with whoever shows up, and both of us will most likely be in a celebratory mood! You don’t want to miss this.
Join us at our old standby pub, the Galway Hooker, located on 36th Street between 5th and Madison, to meet your fellow simians and down some food and drink. 21+ only, please; mention WallStreetOasis.com at the door, and you'll be directed to the billiards room! We have a two-hour drink special as soon as 20 of us arrive: $5 beers, wines, and well mixed dranks.

Meetups are always a fun way to meet (and carouse with) other members of the site. Good times are usually had by all, and they tend to go till around 10-11pm (or basically, whenever we feel like it). If you're stuck in the office, sneak out anyway, and we can all vouch for you.
Unsure how to conduct yourself at Happy Hour, or want to see witty recaps done by Frieds? Look here: http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/blog/wso-happy-hour......

Every damn time these come up I'm on a client site out of state or stuck at work. Happy holidays anyways!
Still not sure if I want to spend the next 30+ years grinding away in corporate finance and the WSO dream chase or look to have enough passive income to live simply and work minimally.
Should I be abandoning
Should I be abandoning multiple commitments in order to come to this? I really want to go, and I really want to know what the news is!

Unless one of those commitments is a once-in-a-lifetime metal show, the answer is unequivocally yes.
