This is obviously just a partial list. There are over 170 hedge funds and private equity firms in Chicago. You can find a complete list, and full contact information at http://www.hedgefundjoblist.com/IL%20Hedge%20Fund%20List.html

Or just www.HedgeFundJobList.com

You can also find hedge fund lists at www.Barclays.com, but they are definitely a lot more expensive.

Sankaty has mid-market debt in Chicago, not sure if their liquid credit funds have people there or not.

There have been many great comebacks throughout history. Jesus was dead but then came back as an all-powerful God-Zombie.

Can't think of any macro hedge funds in chicago. Citadel doesn't even have a macro desk in chicago (they have a small macro group in nyc and also london). For the most part Citadel is now a quant fund that also does fundamental long-short equity. But even their global equities group has a lot of quants.

NYC and London are where most Macro funds are based, if that's your focus, you better head east...

Aside from BH and EP (small desk), which other major funds are based in London?
