LSE's reputation in London, NY, HK
Hey guys, I'm an undergrad going into my final year at the LSE and my question is:
Is the LSE's reputation as good in NY or HK as it is in London?
I know that LSE is with Oxbridge in the eyes of London recruiters, but I was wondering if they were considered in that first tier at NY.
I was also thinking that since LSE is highly respected and reknown throughout Hong Kong due to the city's connection with the UK, that I might also have an easier time applying to HK than NY.
I wasn't considering staying in London before but I feel like if there is a large disparity in competition due to a difference in perceived school reputation, that I might consider staying in London.
Thanks for the help!

I can't give a reliable
I can't give a reliable answer but I'd imagine LSE has a pretty solid reputation in Asia. From what I know the school has been long working with employers in HK, Singapore, Beijing, Malaysia etc. If I am not mistaken, the school organizes career fairs in all those locations in early fall.
Also, I think two big factors in the recruiting process are logistics and general knowledge about the region. Are you Asian? Do you speak a local language? What do you know about local culture, economy, politics etc? Can you travel to HK for career fairs and interviews? I got into one of the MSc programmes and was seriously considering applying for positions in Asia, however I don't think I can handle all the travelling and I only speak English and German.
