Lucite at the bar

How common is it for you to bring your first lucite to the bar and pop bottles? I know at my firm it's standard for analysts but I wanted to see if it's the same around the Street. I was sorta embarrassed when I showed mine off at the club because it was in energy and not TMT.

I've never seen it done, but I would definitely go out and celebrate your first deal... you'll always remember your first (even if it wasn't that big of a deal compared to others). I wouldn't bring the lucite out, but I would definitely go get drunk with your team to celebrate it. After all, the reason we do these deals is to see them get completed... might as well enjoy it a bit, just don't be a total tool about it.

Natty Re lucites should all be in the shape of some sort of basin (barrel of oil, what have you) as to more easily facilitate the time-honored tradition of pouring bottles into said basin and chugging straight from the lucite while the models around your table rip your hermes tie off your neck.

Also, you have to be certain that the written deal size on said lucite is highly noticeable in dim club lighting. Due to that, I recommend a white color and noticeable font. Bone and Silian Rail are favorites, but Eggshell with Romalian Type can do in a pinch

Have to admit I've got you beat here Spaceman... we did a dealtoy that is a glass decanter with laser-etched details and the topper has oil from the actual spud well in it... baller. as. fuck.

For the lucite I got on the Transocean / GlobalSantaFe merger we had a miniature ocean platform rig hand crafted to scale from waterford crystal which became the hood ornament on the deal team's various bugattis and lamborghinis.

Gongoonly if it's an M&A deal. $500 mm follow-on Co-manager lucites are used to prop open the bathroom door

Fuck you that's the only kind I have.

But I agree.
