What is the best financial modeling training program?

Can anyone recommend the most ideal financial modeling training course - (assuming it will be self-taught)? Without price being an issue - I am looking for a single program or a combination which will be the most practical and appreciated by the Bulge Brackets and Larger PE Shops who have analyst programs. Any advice would be appreciated.

Financial Modeling Training Courses I'm considering:

I purchased the premium WSP program, but have not gone through it yet - it was recommended so I went with it. Check out the training section on this site for more information on all of your options. They are all worthwhile from what I have read, but I've seen most people use either WSP or TTS for self-study programs.

If you end up going with WSP, make sure you go through WSO to save 15% (clicking any of the WSP buttons here: http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/financial-modeling-training will get you the discount)

I have no experience with the analyst exchange, although I know a lot of people have used and recommend it.

I think it is worth mentioning that you have completed the program - somewhere at the bottom of the resume, maybe in the skills section. I can't imagine any investment bank not recognizing it, as they have become pretty common.

You can also check out some books instead if you don't want to spend the money - Benninga and Damodaran have great books.

Search for Damodaran's website at NYU - there are tons of resources for modeling there - presentations, tutorials/instructionals, models, etc..

That actually brings up a good question, how does the BIWS online modeling course differ from the WSP and WST modeling courses? To those with experience with these, please elaborate on the differences and which prepare incoming analysts best for the modeling that they will do at a BB. How would you guys rank these three in terms of best to worst?

I wanted to ask this about the modelling course:

I just got the Premium Package and am loving it. I'm learning a lot, not just Excel skills but also about mergers, valuation and LBOs.

What I want to know is how much additional content is there in the Oil and Gas and Advanced LBO modelling that isn't already covered off in the Premium package? I'm wondering whether they're worth investing into for the additional knowledge gained or if there's a lot of repeated material.
