Was at a MM, not a BB, so I dunno if that makes a difference. But, I did have July 4th off. I went in over the weekend before it and on July 3rd though. Clients were off, so we were allowed to take off as well.
was busy for all the banks so most summer and full-time analysts got busted their asses off and rarely had a day off. Who knows how hot the markets will be later this year. I think it will be busy until July, but probably cool down a bit in the 2nd half. I worked every weekend and had 1 full day off all summer. I had a few weekends where I only worked 8-9 hours each day.
My outlook says I have a 3 day......whether or not it actually happens I don't know.

Yes, technically you can probably expect to have Monday off. Realistically, you'll learn that holidays don't mean shit though... which is why I will be heading to work shortly. So don't spend too much time making plans as to how you want to spend it, at least this far in advance.
Sure, the bank will probably be "closed" on Monday. But as PaperTrail said, you still need to plan on working Saturday, Sunday, and Monday - holidays (like weekends) are only days off if there's nothing to do. Just buckle down for this summer and make a good impression so you can get a full time offer.

I'll be in all day every day. Perhaps a few hours off for fireworks.

Had yesterday and today off. Two deals came up this week which are cranking at a wild pace and on stupidly tight deadlines, so I'm in the office tonight. I'm hoping a solid slog tonight will means I have tomorrow to myself and only need to come in for a few hours on Sunday.
Those who can, do. Those who can't, post threads about how to do it on WSO.
I've been shwasted since 5:30. Oh, and clubbing tonight. Then fireworks tomorrow. A nice run in the afternoon before the fiasco on the 4th. Then hitting the GMAT harder than my hangover is hitting me.

I asked for it off and got it. I got an offer at the end of the year...so you are not fucked if you do this.
but only at night. It was something like 6pm-1am or so.
Got the day off, one of 2 the entire summer.

I was at a MM, but I did have to work the 4th. Got the day before off though.
Aren't we getting a little bit ahead of ourselves here? I mean, we're talking about one day 4 months from now.
I did
Since everyone in my group decided not to come in, I had the day off, but I did a little work from home.

Just received feedback from sector. Will be modeling all weekend long...
I'll be working - got staffed up about an hour before I was going to head out of town for the next 4 days. Awful.
GnomeOfZurich - they don't celebrate July 4th in other countries, in case you didn't know.
I know? Have I indicated that they do?

Probably just 8 or so hours a day for me. Nothing killer but I'm certain I could find better uses for my time.
thats rough
I have three projects due Sunday morning so I'll prolly come in for two hours today and about 5 or 6 tomorrow.

In the office today
Pretty much every junior person in today but only a few will have to be in tomorrow.
If I had to be in tomorrow I would think long and hard about my life

Unless you're really cranking on some live deal, this is exactly what you're going to be sitting there doing.
I'll be in tomorrow to trade some Euro markets, but only for an hour or two. I'm on the buyside. Not a big deal, it's part of life
I'm going to attempt to drunkenly do work from my android in Nashville... don't let me down quickoffice excel!

I already broke my elbow last weekend. I guess I'll shoot for not breaking my other one this weekend. Not blowing any fingers off would be a plus too.
Sick boat party on the Seine, complete with Budweiser and American hot dogs. I've lived here too long.
