Let's Rank FEMALE Bankers as DATES
So last month member Bankerella caused a lot of commotion with dating advice and actual rankings for MALE bankers. Her conclusions were (and we may or may not agree with it) that male TRADERS were the best out of the crowd/asset classes, as being the most self assertive and I guess empowered guys out there.
I wanna turn this thing around, and, giving the penetration of WOMEN on Wall Street and in Banking in general, now let's see if we (the males) can RATE THE WOMEN according to their rank and file, or to what they do. Are Wealth Managers better dates then Investment Bankers. What about RMs (Relationship Managers). Have you ever dated any Traders ?
State your opinions and your experiences. I mean, does this thing make sense at all ? Can you rate these women (after their physiques) on character and attitude based on occupation specifics? Can you differentiate banker women based on their skill set and livelihood ? I mean it is said that we are what we do.
Does a female's desirability have anything to do with her success in a particular banking field ? I don't know, maybe it's just me I would always go for a hot cougar in a mink coat (I don't know if I should name her here, maybe not) then a young ambitious loony tunes like Bankerella. To me women are like wines -get better with age.
1) Models 1+) Models in the vicinity of Bottles 2) All other girls 3) Girls in finance
Not actually serious, but I don't think I could see myself casually dating a girl in finance, only being in a serious relationship with one
god someone must be really bored. working day, 2 am, female bankers...
The only finance-type girls I've dated are in PE/IB. The conversations were generally about finance and nothing else, which was kind of boring. They had a pretty difficult time holding a conversation once you go outside of business.
SHORT VERSION
TLDR / TMI VERSION Ascending order of MY preferences: 1. NPO 2. Entrepenuer 3. Military chicks 4. Models 5. Hometown girls / HR 6. Accountants .... 99. Anyone remotely tied to finance
WHY?
NPO and entrepenuer ladies are independant, know when to take the lead, know when to cool it, and thrive in a relationship of equals: awesome. Chick I know in advertising is the same way (but sadly, too far out of my league in every way). HR / hometown girls are just easy, they think they're going to marry money, and I'm not even making that much yet (kill me, seriously). Ops girls are just using you to get to FO, I can't tell you how many times I've heard "soooo, hey honey, can you show my resume to your boss" a few weeks in. Bartenders/Artsy/Models don't impress me and friends from my hometown and college are models and invite me to their events to hang out and meet people: too much pretense. Accountants...boring as fuck, not interested. Military chicks ARE THE HOTTEST if they're not bulls (not my thing) or completely batshit loco holyFuckingHell wutUsmoking insane (they often are). Law chicks, I don't know many, so couldn't tell you. F500 chicks, same thing: I just don't know many.
I'm easy: * tell me what you need - I'm not a mindreader * respect my family/friends - they're crazy, but we've been through A LOT together * don't lie/cheat or ditch me - I don't want to feel single if I'm in a relationship When she's happy, I'm happy. Simple. Personally, I like being in a relationship, not big on fucking around, not ready for marriage. I'm ok with "sharing", and yes, it's optional, my default is one-on-one. I'll probably settle with a professor or medical type, they tend to be interesting.
I personally can't stand hardcore finance chicks within the context of a relationship b/c it's always a constant power struggle and even when I win, I lose. I can be in an equal setting or be the boss, but I'm not interested in some ballbusting bitch that needs to be in control of everything, if and when they're even around. In ascending order of control freak: * ops * consulting * trading * banking * research * sales * anything above associate (kinky, but just a bad idea)
Good/Bad/Indifferent: that's just been my experience so far.
Not to be a douche or anything , but if finance chicks are no 99 in ASCENDING order of preference - it means you prefer them the most.
Some of my best friends are lawyers - cool, smart and less materialistic. Highly recommended dating materials. Just make sure you pick up someone knowing when to shut up and don't tie the knot with a divorce laywer~
No I'm on your side here, chief.
I dont want to date a chick in finance....the number one thing for a chick has to be if she's a golfer
The little amount of spare time available spent on one of the better sports with a girl with whom you can do the dance with no pants afterwards, strong agree.
This should be on Yahoo! pretty soon.
that's all i needed to read... i don't trust your judgement.
Yes sayandarula, I should have said ..maybe..women are like a (beef) steak, young beef doesn't taste that good as mildly aged beef, and old beef in impossible to chew, too hard.
I mean, I don't eat raw meat but have it done medium
Call me.
Who do you think he is , R Kelly?
Wait, he's not????
Who am I ? that's a question that very few people can answer for themselves. For now I am happy to be just a MOU (Master Of the Universe)
I find girls that work in other professions to be way more interesting.
It's funny to hear some of you guys talk about how boring women in finance are. Try holding up a mirror.
/endthread
+1 to you sir
SirPoundsaLot,
Are you a 300-pound gorilla ? Why don't you like yourself when you look in the mirror ? Anyways, what men look like don't matter to women
Best women in finance: ANALysts. Get it? Get it? I'll be here all night folks!
Hooray ! MILFs are experienced ANALlysts my friend. A young girl is just a dumb duck afraid of the water !
ASSociates are fine, too.
Stay away from MANaging Directors
Who cares wtf they do for a living....what are you guys chicks?
What do females think about this?
'Can you rate these women (after their physiques)'... Good luck with this crowd; also werent you supposed to give a proposed rating system for us to pick apart? op, if you're gonna fault bankerellas take you cant' be this lazy.
Honey,
When I'm asleep, I'm still ten times smarter than Bankarella (whom I actually like to call Barbarella). I know women inside and out. I know you better than you know yourselves. There's no mysteries (for me) 'bout women. BTW I don't compete with her.
Don't give a rat's ass about GMAT and pedigree-those are meaningless.
I googled Bankerella, and apparently she plays World of Warcraft. Finance chick aside, that's a deal breaker.
I'm not a fan, but to each's own.
There's absolutely no way that she'd be able to commit to a game like WoW. Do you really think an IB VP can spend 3 hours or so a day (after work) nerding out?
Maybe shes just that boss, or really isn't who she claims/
The only thing Bankarella does for three hours a day is sucking her thumb
I think it really depends on if they were an athlete, I don't care about what they do. If they were a college athlete it is an automatic plus...... Being a smoke doesn't hurt either.
I would like to give my opinion on the matter. From what I see, banker chicks tend to be very career oriented. Call me old fashioned, but I want someone that is there for me. I prefer nurses myself. They have a career, earn money too. I like an independent woman. But she has to be down to earth. Plus, you want someone that is not in the same business as you. How boring those dinner conversations. To finish, I could not be with a woman that used the word "Chic". Dealbreaker.
If a chick wants to play me in NHL on Xbox live and beats me, i will propose to her via skype

Bottom line, I would date an (obviously) young girl like Bankarella/other banker after/concurrently with making some "adjustments" to her. Adjustments to body shape (if needed, weight must be 125 #/under) , perhaps breasts work, some facial reshaping (again, if needed).
You gotta' loosen up the duck before it jumps into the water.
Then we need to teach her not too use foul language. (foul language permeates your being).
If you have what you guys call a "controlling" freak woman, deep inside in a scared little girl who is afraid that if she stops someone else will take over her.
Didn't you know that a lot of Senior (male) Bankers on the Street are actually frequent clients of Dominatrix/BDSM -they wanna switch roles and become the submissive ones !
SirTradesaLot, how do you know how big his penis is?
Oh I see. How did his penis come up anyways?
Chaps,
I watched a movie last night called "The Diary of a Nymphomaniac" (2008). It's a foreign (Spanish) movie. The woman in the movie ended up turning tricks 'cause she couldn't get enough action from men-and ended up quitting that, too. Some of you, Wall Streeters will also end up quitting like the whore in the movie: it's called burnout. Well, for a woman on the Street is nice and easy when they do, they "ease up" into motherhood and some get into entrepreneurship, they start a little shop or website. It's always easy for a woman. But you, the man, what will you do when it the creeps upon you: BURNOUT (if it's not losing your job-blessing in disguise ?)
I'll start a new thread on this, and post scenes from the movie
I like turtles
